Why people want this boot. Grundens designed the Deck-Boss for commercial fishing crews standing on wet decks all day. In Montrose it has quietly become the boot people wear for mud season, the barn, the launch, and the school run — waterproof, pulls on, and the siped outsole actually grips instead of skating. The siping is the clever part: those razor cuts open as the sole flexes and squeeze water out from under the tread rather than letting it act as a lubricant.
