The Auto Osborne is the 940 with a button instead of a thumb stud. Same Warren Osborne reverse tanto silhouette, same aluminum handles, same proportions — but it fires on a push rather than a flick.
If you already know you want a 940 and you are somewhere autos are legal, this is a straightforward upgrade in deployment speed. If you are not sure, buy the manual one; it is $50 cheaper and legal everywhere.
Anodized 6061-T6 handles in Green or Burnt Copper. Blade finishes vary by version — satin, black coated, or the Burnt Copper's darker treatment.

Benchmade's 2026 dealer workbook does not publish full dimensional specs for the 9400 series. The figures we can confirm are listed above; blade length and weight track the manual 940 closely but we would rather not print numbers we cannot source.
