The Barrage is an assisted opener — you start the blade with the thumb stud and a spring finishes the job. It is faster than a manual folder and legal in most places an automatic is not, which is the whole reason the category exists.
This version is the Redstone Richlite with a black S30V blade. Richlite is a paper-based composite pressed with resin: dense, warm in the hand, and it takes the deep red colour right through the material rather than as a coating.
3.6" drop-point blade, 4.45 ounces — this is a substantial knife with real heft behind it. The AXIS Assist has an integrated safety that locks the blade closed for carry.
CPM-S30V, stainless and forgiving. At $400 it is priced as a premium EDC rather than a working knife, and the Richlite is most of why.
