The full-size Crooked River is a big, unapologetically Western folder — a 4" clip-point blade on a 9.3" frame. It is the knife people pick up in the shop and comment on.

The clip-point profile is the traditional hunting shape: a long, sweeping belly for skinning and a fine tip for detail work. It is a better field-dressing blade than a drop-point and a worse prying tool, which is exactly the right trade for what this knife is for. A real bolster and enough weight to feel like something.

Choosing your Crooked River

The two versions are genuinely different knives, not colour options.

The stabilized wood build is the classic — dark wood inlays on gray anodized aluminum, CPM-S30V, traditional lines. This is the gift knife and the one that gets engraved.

The Burnt Copper aluminum and black canvas micarta build runs CPM-MagnaCut and Benchmade's SelectEdge grind, a 14-degree-per-side factory edge noticeably finer than their standard. MagnaCut resists corrosion better than S30V and holds an edge longer, and the build comes in lighter. If the knife is going hunting rather than into a drawer, this is the one built for it.
