2.33 ounces on a 3.04" clip-point blade — that is remarkable for a knife this capable, and it comes from skeletonised liners and OD Green G10 scales rather than anything exotic.
The steel is CPM-S45VN at 60-62 HRC, a refinement of S30V with better corrosion resistance and edge stability. Paired with Benchmade's SelectEdge — a 14-degree-per-side factory grind against the usual 20 — it arrives sharper than most knives ever get. On a hunting knife that fine edge means less pushing and more control on hide.
The tradeoff with SelectEdge is that a thinner edge chips more easily if you pry or hit bone. Use it for what it is.
