One of the smartest moves a serious angler can make is keeping a second spool ready. Steelhead and salmon anglers swap between floating lines for swing fishing in the morning and sinking tips or nymph tapers when fish move into deeper water. Trout anglers run dry lines on the reel and nymph or streamer setups on the spare. Saltwater anglers carry a floating line and an intermediate. The same Torque frame, two complete setups, in the time it takes to release the spool.

The visually striking porting on the spool is more than aesthetic: it significantly reduces weight while maintaining strength and increasing rigidity. The rounded rims enhance durability so the spool can withstand the nastiest of angling conditions.
Inside, the spool is engineered to interlock cleanly with the Torque drag system, delivering the same smooth, powerful drag performance that put the Torque on Yellowstone Angler's 8-weight reel shootout podium.
