The Douglas DXF Gen2 represents the evolution of the DXF series. This next-generation rod has been completely redesigned, incorporating the latest technology and materials to deliver exceptional performance. With state-of-the-art blank construction and components, the DXF Gen2 offers unparalleled feel, superb rod action, and optimal accuracy, whether you are fishing freshwater or saltwater.

The performance comes from the blank. The DXF Gen2 uses multi-modulus blank construction to optimize rod action, paired with a moderate-fast action that is light and sensitive in hand. Minimal tip dampening delivers extreme accuracy at both short and long distances, so the rod tracks true whether you are picking a near pocket or reaching across a run.

The components are tuned to the water. The rod has a self-aligning reel seat with dual locking rings and Nylatron inserts, and AAA cork grips with rubber tips for protection and durability. Freshwater models carry a reverse half wells grip and an emerald green flake blank; saltwater models use a full wells grip and a brilliant blue flake blank. Stainless frame guides in dark neo plating and a lightly sanded finish complete the build. Each rod is packaged in a Cordura tube with a coordinating cloth sock, and like all Douglas fly rods it carries a limited lifetime warranty.
