The lightest wet-wading sock Simms makes, built to pair with the Flyweight boots and shoes. Neoprene where you need protection, cut minimal everywhere else — for hot days when a full 2.5mm sock is more than the water calls for.
What a wet wading sock is for
Two jobs. It keeps sand and grit out of your boot, which is what actually ruins a day of wet wading. And it fills the space your wader bootie normally occupies, so your boots fit properly instead of sloshing around. Wet wade without a sock and you will get blisters and a loose boot.

Which Simms sock do you want?
| Sock | Build | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Flyweight Neoprene | Light neoprene, low profile | Hot days; boots with less internal room, like the Flyweight |
| Neoprene Wading Socks | 2.5mm, perforated underfoot | Cool water, rocky bottoms, maximum grit protection |
| Guide Wet Wading Sock | Knit polypropylene, 3 oz per pair | The coolest option; arch support; wears like a real sock |
All three stocked here. Honestly, the right one depends more on your boot's internal volume than on the weather — bring your boots by and we will sort it in two minutes.
Pairs with: the Simms Flyweight Boot (a D width, narrower than the guide boots) and the Pursuit Shoe, which Simms sizes for bare feet or a thin liner.
Care: rinse in fresh water after every use, turn inside out, dry out of direct sun. UV is what kills neoprene.
