The Challenger Pant is the pant most of our guides end up in when it is too warm for waders and they still need to look like they work here. Quick-drying cotton-poly stretch, vented where you sweat, with a knife guard on the pocket so a folder does not shred the fabric and a thigh pocket sized for a phone.

Key features

  • Perforated fabric in key areas for venting where needed
  • Stretch fabric allows for ease of movement
  • Pocket with knife guard and a phone pocket on the thigh
  • Two drop-in back pockets
  • Treated with DWR for weather resistance and stain-repellent fabric to stay fresh

One thing to know: this pant comes in a 32" inseam only — there is no short or long option. If you are much under or over a 32" inseam you are looking at a hem job. If that is a dealbreaker, the Simms Gallatin Pant covers the same ground in three inseam lengths — Short 30", Regular 32", Long 34" — and we stock it here.

Not sure on waist size? The stretch means most people land in their normal number, but the cotton content will relax a little with wear. Call the shop at 970-964-9991 and we will talk it through rather than have you guess and ship it back.

Warranty: Simms covers functional defects with a replacement. Within the first year, repairs are on them. Beyond a year they will repair it or make it right.
