Real waders, kid-sized. The Tributary in a youth cut — breathable, waterproof, and built the same way as the adult version rather than being a toy.
Why this matters: a cold, wet kid stops fishing and does not want to come back. Waders that actually keep a young angler dry are the single biggest factor in whether they enjoy the day, and cheap youth waders leak almost immediately.
Construction: 3-layer waterproof breathable polyester upper over a 4-layer polyester lower — the same build as the adult Tributary, which is also the only wader in the Simms line made without PFAS chemicals. Worth something on a kid.

Sizing advice from people who have done this a few times: resist the urge to buy way too big so they “grow into them.” Waders that swamp a kid are genuinely dangerous in moving water and miserable to walk in. A little room is good; two sizes is not. The bootie size matters too, because it has to fit inside a wading boot with a sock.
Bring them in. Call 970-964-9991 or stop by and we will fit them properly, sort a boot to match, and talk through a wading belt — which is not optional for a young angler. We genuinely enjoy setting kids up, and we will be honest with you about what they actually need versus what can wait.
Warranty: 60 days no questions asked on leaks and free repairs through the first year. Kids are hard on gear; this warranty is better than most.
