The most interesting handle in the Bugout range. Benchmade paired an ash gray anodized aluminum bolster with a Redstone Richlite onlay — a paper composite, dense and warm in the hand in a way aluminum never is — then finished it with orange anodized hardware. It does not look like anything else on the shelf.
The blade is CPM-S90V in a stonewash polish, so you get top-tier edge retention under a finish that hides scratches rather than showing every one.
One thing to understand before you buy. Richlite develops a patina. It will change colour over time depending on how much light and handling it gets — darkening or lightening. That is the material behaving normally, not a defect. If you want a knife that looks identical in five years, buy the aluminum. If you want one that shows its miles, this is the one.
