Blue denim micarta is canvas soaked in resin and compressed — the same idea as G10 but made from cloth instead of glass. It starts out smooth and slowly takes on the character of whoever carries it, the way a pair of jeans does. No two end up looking the same.
Under it sits a Bohler M390 blade, satin finished, with dark copper PVD hardware. M390 is a stainless powder steel that has been the edge-retention benchmark in premium folders for years — a real step up from the S30V in the base 940 and, unlike M4 tool steels, completely maintenance-free.
At 2.42 ounces this is the lightest Osborne in the range, marginally under even the carbon fibre version. Same reverse tanto blade, same 7.87" open length.
