The cheapest way into a real 940, and the one to buy if the knife is going to get used rather than admired.
G10 is a glass-fibre laminate — grippier than aluminum, especially wet, and it does not scratch in a way you notice. The scales are 3D milled with an open backspacer, which sheds pocket lint instead of collecting it. Same CPM-S30V blade as the original 940, same satin finish, same reverse tanto geometry.
At $250 it is $50 under the green aluminum version. What you give up is the anodized finish and about a quarter ounce; what you gain is grip and a lower price on an identical blade.
Benchmade has this configuration discontinuing at the end of 2026. Once dealer stock is gone it will not come back.
