Discontinued — last one in stock. Douglas has retired the Sky series and replaced it with the Sky G. What we have left is what is left.
The Sky was Douglas's flagship before the Sky G, and it was a genuinely great rod — the 6 weight won the Yellowstone Angler 6-weight shootout. Nano carbon XMatrix blank, Fuji Torzite titanium stripping guides, burled blackwood reel seat. Torzite is high-end hardware that most rods at this level never see.

Should you buy a discontinued rod?
Here is the honest version. The upside: this is a flagship-tier rod with premium hardware, and Douglas's limited lifetime warranty still applies.
The catch worth knowing: warranty coverage on a discontinued series lasts only as long as replacement parts do. Douglas is clear about that. Once they run out of Sky blanks, a broken section cannot be replaced. For a rod you will fish hard for twenty years that is a real consideration. For a light 3 weight that lives a gentle life, much less so.
If you want the same DNA with full ongoing parts support, look at the Sky G — lighter, current, and we stock all fifteen models.
