The Adira is Benchmade's water knife, and for a fly shop it is the most relevant folder they make.
Everything about it assumes it will be wet. CPM-MagnaCut blade: the most corrosion-resistant steel Benchmade uses, which matters if the knife lives in a boat bag or a wading jacket and gets rinsed with salt. Grivory handles that do not absorb water. A leash hole so it can be tethered, because a dropped knife in moving water is gone. And a deep-bellied drop-point with a large thumb hole you can open wearing gloves.
3.88" blade, 4.23 ounces: substantial. This is a hard-use knife rather than a light EDC, sized for cutting line, netting and rope under load.
Two versions: Tempest Gray Grivory with a plain-edge blade in a blue titanium finish, or Depth Blue Grivory with a partially serrated blade and hi-vis orange accents, including an orange paracord lanyard. The serrations bite through rope, braided line and netting that a plain edge tends to slide on.
