The Station Knife is Benchmade's take on a camp and galley knife — a six-inch clip-point fixed blade for cooking wherever you happen to be. Overlanding, a drift boat lunch, a camp kitchen, or the counter at home.
The blade is CPM-154 with SelectEdge, Benchmade's 14-degree-per-side grind. On a kitchen knife that fine edge is the whole point: it goes through a tomato skin without pressure and takes a shoulder apart without sawing. CPM-154 is stainless and takes a very keen edge, though it is softer than the super steels and will want touching up more often — which is exactly what you want in a knife that meets a cutting board.
Full-tang construction with a blade guard, and gold pivot rings as a detail. At 6.36 ounces it has enough weight to do the work for you.
Three handle options. OD Green G10 is the workhorse — grippy wet, indifferent to abuse. Maple Valley Richlite is a paper-based composite with a black G10 bolster; it looks like wood, behaves like a polymer, and is genuinely dishwasher-tolerant. The Limited Edition Camo is a seasonal run at $450.
