A bulk spool of 65 pound gel spun. Gel spun is dramatically thinner than Dacron at the same breaking strength, so you can pack far more onto a reel — the difference between adequate and comfortable when a big fish decides to leave. This is the shop-size spool, not a single retail one.

This is saltwater and big-game territory: tarpon, tuna, steelhead on a long run. The trade-off is worth stating plainly — gel spun is thin, slick and strong enough to cut skin under load, and it needs care when knotting and spooling. Use it where the extra capacity genuinely matters.
