The Renzetti T 1001-S Tube Fly Vise Head is a purpose-built true-rotary head for tying tube flies, sold on its own for custom builds and replacements. Tube flies call for a different clamping system than standard hooks, and Renzetti engineered this head specifically for the job, machining it right here in Montrose, Colorado, the same town as our shop.
Instead of gripping a hook bend, the tube-fly head secures tubing on a mandrel so you can build the fly, then slide it onto a hook of your choice. The true-rotary mechanism spins the tube on a true axis for even wraps all the way around, which is exactly what tidy tube flies demand.
