The most affordable way to own a reel machined in our town. Ross calls the Cimarron the perfect entry point into the family, and it is — but it is not an entry-level reel in the usual sense. It is fully machined, fully anodized, and made start to finish in Montrose, Colorado, about a mile from our front door. Nothing about it is stamped, cast, or imported.
The drag is built on the Animas system — the open-faced composite design Ross has been refining for years. The cosmetics are the fun part: bronze Cerakote drag knob, Cerakoted escapement cover, brown canvas micarta handle. Named for the Cimarron River, and the lineage goes back to the 1980s.
