The Ross Colorado Cutthroat Special Edition is a collector-grade take on Ross's featherweight click-pawl trout reel, built in the 4/5 size and finished with a hand-painted Colorado cutthroat on the clicker plate. It is machined in Montrose, Colorado, the same town as our shop and just a few blocks away.
Under three ounces and fully machined from a one-piece frame and spool, the Colorado pairs an all-metal click/pawl drag with a crisp, audible song that dry-fly anglers love. It balances beautifully on 0- through 5-weight rods for small streams, spring creeks, and freestone trout.
