The F Series is Scott's fiberglass line — E-glass blanks that flex deep and slow, built for small water where the cast is twenty feet and the fun is in the feel. If you have only fished graphite, a glass rod is a different experience entirely: it loads with almost nothing out the tip and it protects light tippet in a way no fast rod can.

Picking one
- Only buying one glass rod? The 6'6" 3 weight. It is the most broadly useful rod in the series — short enough for brush, long enough to mend.
- Really tight water? The 5'8" 3 weight. Built for creeks where a normal rod cannot come back on the backcast.
- Want to fish a dropper or a small streamer? The 7'2" 4 weight has enough backbone for weight on the leader.
- Backpacking? The five-piece 7'2" straps to a pack and still fishes like a proper glass rod.
Is glass right for you?
Honest answer: glass is a joy on small water and a liability on big water. Under about thirty feet it is more fun than any graphite rod at any price. Past fifty feet, in wind, or with a heavy rig, it will frustrate you. Buy one because you fish small creeks and want to feel every cast — not as your only rod.
