A note on the sun rating. This hoody is UPF 30+, not 50+. Simms runs a UPF 50+ banner across their whole site, which causes confusion — but for this particular garment the published number is 30+. If you want a higher rating, ask us and we will point you at pieces Simms rates at 50+.
Where it earns its keep: evening hatches on the Gunnison when the no-see-ums come off the water, and anywhere you would otherwise be reaching for a bottle of repellent. The insect treatment is in the fabric, so it survives washing rather than sweating off.

Warranty: Simms covers functional defects with a replacement. Within the first year, repairs are on them. Beyond a year they will repair it or make it right.
