A proper knit wet-wading sock — not neoprene. This is the one for genuinely hot days, when a 2.5mm neoprene sock is more insulation than the water calls for.

Specifications

Weight 3 oz (85 g) per pair
Height Midcalf
Support Right Angle arch support
Performance Quick-drying, odor-resistant, anti-abrasion
Sizes M, L, XL
Care Machine wash and dry

Why polypropylene rather than neoprene. Polypro moves water through instead of holding it against your skin, so it does not get heavy and does not cook your feet in August. It also dries on the drive home rather than living damp in your bag for three days. The trade is warmth and grit protection — neoprene wins both.

Which sock do you want?

Sock Build Best for
Guide Wet Wading Sock Knit polypro, 3 oz Hot days; the coolest and fastest-drying option
Flyweight Neoprene Light neoprene, low profile Boots with less internal room, like the Flyweight
Neoprene Wading Socks 2.5mm, perforated underfoot Cool water, rocky bottoms, maximum grit protection

All three stocked here.

The thing most people miss. When you switch from waders to wet wading, your boots suddenly have a wader bootie's worth of empty space inside them. A sock fills part of that gap. Go without and your boots slop around, which is how ankles get rolled on slick rock. This is also why the Simms Pursuit Shoe is a good match — Simms sizes it for bare feet or a thin liner, which this sock is.
