What bootfoot means and why it matters. The boots are built onto the waders as one piece. No separate wading boots, no gravel guards, no laces. You step in, zip up, and go. More importantly, bootfoot waders are substantially warmer than stockingfoot-plus-boot setups because there is nothing compressing your foot and cutting off circulation — which is exactly what makes toes go numb in February. If you fish through winter, stand in a drift boat, or wade the tailwaters in January, this is the honest answer.

The trade-offs, honestly: bootfoot waders are bulkier to pack, you cannot swap the boot if you want a different sole, and they are less comfortable on a long hike than a proper wading boot. Nobody should buy these for summer hike-in fishing. For cold water, boat fishing, and getting in and out quickly, they are the better tool — and plenty of guides keep a pair specifically for winter.
Sizing is different from stockingfoot waders. Because the boot is attached, you are choosing a boot size and a body size together, and you cannot adjust one without the other. There is also no wader bootie to account for — you are sizing for a sock, or two socks in winter. Please call us at 970-964-9991 or come in before ordering these.
