On the fabric blend and UPF rating: Simms currently publishes two different fabric compositions and two different UPF numbers for this shirt across their own product page. Rather than print a figure we cannot stand behind, we have left both off until we get a straight answer from our Simms rep. Where it fits: this is a hot-weather shirt — midsummer on the Gunnison, flats trips, anywhere you want a collared woven instead of a hoody. If you would rather have hood-and-thumb-hole sun coverage, look at the SolarFlex Hoody; if you want bug protection built in, the BugStopper line is the one.
Warranty: Simms covers functional defects with a replacement. Within the first year, repairs are on them. Beyond a year they will repair it or make it right.
