The IMX-Pro V2S is G. Loomis's saltwater workhorse — the same Conduit Core and GL7 resin platform as their freshwater IMX-Pro, tuned for wind, distance, and fish that pull back.
G. Loomis says it was tuned for three specific jobs: improved tracking in the wind, lifting generous lengths of line before a re-cast, and fish fighting control. Their engineering note is the interesting part — they built power through the bottom half of the rod, but most uniquely developed a slightly tighter tip to minimize tailing loops. Tailing loops are what wreck a saltwater cast under pressure, and that tip is a deliberate answer to it.

Warranty: G. Loomis covers rods with a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner against defects in workmanship and materials, with proof of purchase; it is non-transferable. Breakage from accidents or normal wear is handled through their Xpeditor replacement program for a set fee rather than under warranty. G. Loomis's website is offline for rebuilding at the moment, so call us for current Xpeditor terms rather than relying on figures floating around online.
