The Adira is Benchmade's water knife, and for a fly shop it is the most relevant folder they make.
Everything about it assumes it will be wet. CPM-MagnaCut blade — the most corrosion-resistant steel Benchmade uses, which matters if the knife lives in a boat bag or a wading jacket and gets rinsed with salt. Grivory handles that do not absorb water. A leash hole so it can be tethered, because a dropped knife in moving water is gone. And a deep-bellied drop-point with a large thumb hole you can open wearing gloves.
3.88" blade, 4.23 ounces — substantial. This is a hard-use knife rather than a light EDC, sized for cutting line, netting and rope under load.
The Tempest Gray version carries a blue titanium blade finish over the MagnaCut.
