Airflo's friction-cutting Ridge coating meets the smooth-loading Delta taper for long, easy casts and delicate turnover.
The Ridge Delta is built around two proven Airflo ideas. Ridge technology molds fine longitudinal ridges into the line's surface, reducing contact with the rod guides so the line shoots farther and handles more cleanly. The Delta taper adds a long, gradual front taper with an extended rear haunch that loads the rod progressively - smooth in close, stable at range, and gentle on turnover, including teams of flies.
Like all Airflo lines, it is made with a tough, PVC-free polyurethane coating that stands up to sun, DEET, and hard use, with micro loops for quick rigging. We stock it in a WF4 floater for trout work and a WF8/9 fast intermediate that settles flies below the surface at roughly 1.5 inches per second.
