- Match the size stamped on your reel foot: 0/1, 2/3, 3/4 or 4/5.

On a small-stream reel a second spool is usually about carrying a spare loaded with a different line — a dry line and a light sink tip for the same creek. At these capacities you are not carrying much backing either way.
