The Lamson Cobalt is a saltwater hand cannon, a hyper-fast rod built to turn your fly into a projectile when a permit slides by at seventy feet. Its blank generates blistering line speed and wind-conquering loops, with just enough flex in the tip and mid-section to let you feel it load before the muscle down deep takes over.

That reserve of power is what lets the Cobalt pick up long line for a fast re-cast and put serious pressure on strong flats fish. Built on Lamson's proven salt blank with dialed-in hardware and the proprietary Lockdown reel seat, and offered across a full range of line weights, it is the reel maker's next step in saltwater performance.

Key features

  • Deep power for long pickups and quick re-casts
