The Orvis Battenkill Disc Fly Reel is a true modern classic. Updated with tightened tolerances, improved hand feel, and new understated colors, the Battenkill Disc honors its legendary heritage while meeting the demands of today's angler. Available in Black, Copper, and Matte Olive in sizes II (3-5wt), III (5-7wt), and IV (7-9wt).

The reliability and workhorse nature of the Battenkill were never touched — those aspects are not for negotiation. Instead, Orvis refined the details: a curved reelfoot that won't kink leaders, improved drag knob hand feel, and new colors that complement the aesthetic of Superfine, Classic Bamboo, Helios, and Recon rods beautifully.

At the heart of the Battenkill Disc is the Hydros SL drag system — six interacting carbon and stainless drag surfaces delivering stout, smooth stopping power that is simple and easy to adjust. Built from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum with an ergonomic Delrin handle, the Battenkill Disc is built to last and easy to convert from left to right hand retrieve.

A mid-arbor, ported design pays homage to Battenkill reels of old while delivering modern performance. The Battenkill Disc II is 3" diameter for 3-5wt rods, III is 3.25" for 5-7wt, and IV is 3.6" for 7-9wt.
