The Wave is Scott's fast big-fly rod at a working price. Saltwater flats, coastal stripers, bass, carp, pike — anywhere you need to move a heavy fly into wind. Made in Montrose, Colorado.

We stock the complete Wave lineup, all seven models, 6 weight through 12.

Picking one

  • First saltwater rod? The 8 weight, without much debate. Bonefish, reds, schoolie stripers, baby tarpon.
  • Warmwater at home? The 6 or 7 weight throws big bass bugs and carp flies and doubles as a heavy trout streamer rod.
  • Going somewhere serious? The 10 through 12 weights have the lifting power for real bluewater work.

Where the Wave sits in Scott's saltwater range

The Wave is the entry point. Above it is the Sector, Scott's saltwater flagship — faster recovery, CeRecoil titanium guides with zirconia inserts, a milled aluminum seat with self-indexing hoods, and noticeably better behavior at ninety feet in wind.

If you are booking a trip where the shot matters — permit, tarpon, anything you get one cast at — cast the Sector before you decide. That is the rod built for those moments, and we stock twelve models of it. If the Wave is what fits, it is a genuinely fast, capable rod and we sell plenty of them.

Components

  • Blank: ReAct and X-Core construction, multi-modulus layup, ARC reinforcement, Fiberfuse resin
  • Action: fast, fastest recovery class in Scott's range
  • Finish: Natural Finish
  • Origin: made in Montrose, Colorado

Scott does not publish guide, seat, or grip specs for the Wave series. Call and we will read them off a rod in the rack.
