The size code is the person count: XP1 sleeps one, XP2 sleeps two, XP3 sleeps three. The floor is a 40D polycarbonate-coated nylon rated to 25,000mm, which is expedition territory and the reason you can pitch on saturated ground without water wicking through under a knee or a hip. Self-equalizing guylines and an aerodynamic profile hold the tent steady in winds over 80 km/h, roughly 50 mph, by spreading load across anchor points instead of letting one stake take the gust.
Livability is the other half of the design. Steep sidewalls and generous interior volume mean a long wet afternoon inside is tolerable rather than claustrophobic, and multiple fly modes let you convert the tent in seconds for sun, bugs, wind or rain. The Ultra-Sil LS rainfly takes on less water than conventional silnylon and holds a tighter pitch when wet, and fly-first pitching keeps the inner dry while you set up in the rain. This is a wet-weather backcountry shelter, not a four-season mountaineering tent.
