The Abel Abstract Series is a modern, hand-painted spin on the brand's classic fish finishes - each one painted in-house by artists who have finished thousands of reels. The Abstract Brook takes a brook trout's palette and turns it loose, and on this solid-frame 4/5 TR with a rosewood handle, no two are exactly alike.
The TR itself is Abel's modern click-pawl trout reel, machined in Montrose, Colorado from about 21 parts. An integrated, precision-balanced clicker keeps the iconic click-pawl sound without a counterweight, and the pronounced palming rim lets you control drag by feel - ideal for the light tippet a 4- or 5-weight fishes.
