The Dart is Sage's small-water specialist — short, light, three-piece rods built on the KonneticHD blank for creeks, spring creeks, and tight cover. Unlike most small-stream rods, the Dart is fast: it throws darts (hence the name) with tight accurate loops at close range instead of lobbing. If your small-water fishing involves bow-and-arrow casts and one-shot pockets, that speed is the point.

Picking one
- The classic choice: the 7'6" 3 weight. Enough rod for a dry-dropper, short enough for brush.
- Truly tiny water: the 6'6" 3 weight — the shortest, lightest thing Sage builds.
- The purist's toy: the 0 or 1 weight turns a ten-inch brookie into a memorable fight. Not a starter rod — a connoisseur's rod.
- A bit of everything small: the 4 weight handles small streamers and wind better than the rest.
Dart or a glass rod? Both live on the same water. Glass (like Scott's F Series, which we also stock) is slow and deep-loading — you feel everything, at the cost of speed. The Dart is the opposite philosophy: modern, crisp, accurate. Neither is wrong. Cast both and you will know which one is you.
