The clutch locks down without slipping even at full drag, and because it has zero startup inertia, resistance stays identical from the first inch of a run to the last. That is what lets you protect 6X on a technical trout and still turn a 100-pound tarpon on the same platform.
Machined in the USA from larger, non-corrosive components, the RX shrugs off sand, dirt, and mud while allowing the drag to dry between sessions. Four sizes span the RX1 for small-stream trout through the RX4 for saltwater and big game, offered in Black, Charcoal, and Dark Green.
