The Bauer SLT is a big-game saltwater reel built to stop the world's most powerful fish. Its redesigned drag stacks alternating stainless steel and carbon discs to disperse heat and engage with glassy smoothness, while an oversized low-durometer O-ring keeps pressure perfectly linear, so every click of the knob adds an even, predictable amount of resistance, with hard stops that prevent over-tightening and free-spooling.
Machined in the USA, the SLT pairs a reimagined zero-backlash clutch with a fully water- and debris-sealed carbon drag, so it holds up to days of saltwater, sand, and mud without flinching. Offered in three big-water sizes: the 7/8/9 flats companion for bonefish, redfish, and striper; the 9/10/11 all-around workhorse for GTs, tarpon, and roosters; and the 11/12+ blue-water reel with up to 15 pounds of drag for tuna and marlin.
