This Abel SDS is the ported Bonefish edition in a 7/8 - a lightened, flats-ready frame with a bright platinum aluminum handle. The 7/8 is the classic bonefish size, and the porting shaves weight so the reel balances beautifully on a fast saltwater rod during long days of sight fishing.
Sealed Drag Salt is the whole idea: a fully sealed multi-disc drag putting out more than 20 pounds of smooth braking power, sealed tight against sand, salt, and spray. Machined in Colorado from aerospace-grade aluminum, it is smooth enough for a bonefish on light tippet and tough enough for whatever else eats.
