Light-year. The Lamson Litespeed is a study in larger-but-lighter engineering, CNC machined with material distributed artfully along critical load paths so it is stable, strong, and so light you might forget it is there. It chases the number Lamson cares about most: retrieve rate per ounce.
This version is offered in both freshwater and marine builds. The marine LSM uses a hybrid drag sharing elements of the Cobalt system, with a fixed spindle, large heat-wicking conical surfaces, and a click-stop knob, plus close-tolerance composite bearings and an IPX8 waterproof rating to 100 feet. Its open frame and spool add stiffness while promoting line drying.
