The Helinox Chair One High-Back (re) is a reimagining of the original Chair One, the award-winning, number-one-selling style that defined the category of lightweight, packable outdoor furniture. This version brings that legacy forward with new technology and a high back built for more support.
At the heart of the redesign is (re)Tension Design. It adds a second tension line within the perimeter of the chair, distributing weight uniquely around the frame and redefining what comfort feels like in a packable chair. This high-back version builds on that with ample shoulder and upper back support, and a taller seat than the original Chair One that makes getting in and out easier.
The frame is built to last. Redesigned nylon resin hubs add stability, and the proprietary DAC aluminum alloy merges strength with durability. There is an integrated side pocket to keep essentials within reach, plus an ergonomic design and reinforced corners that hold and support. Notably, the frame is made from repurposed aluminum scraps left on the factory floor that would otherwise have been thrown away.
It travels as easily as the original. The collapsible frame uses shock-corded poles that lock into place for an easy setup, packs into a compact full-zip case with a daisy chain and webbing handle, and weighs just 2 lbs 13 oz packed while holding up to 320 lbs assembled. The bluesign-certified, recycled 300D polyester seat handles the elements, with mesh paneling for ventilation.
