The Claymore is Benchmade's push-button side-opening automatic: press the button and the blade fires open. What makes it different from older push-button autos is the integrated safety built into the button itself. It keeps the knife from opening in your pocket, but you can unlock and fire it in one smooth motion, without fumbling for a separate switch.
The blade is a 3.6" drop-point in 154CM stainless, a proven, easy-to-sharpen steel that holds up to hard use, with a black Cerakote finish. The handle is textured Grivory, so the whole knife comes in around 3.5 to 3.7 ounces: light for a full-size auto.
Available in Black or Ranger Green, each with a plain edge or a partially serrated edge. Go serrated if you cut a lot of rope, webbing or cord.
