The Butter Stick 3 is fiberglass the way you remember it (a semi-translucent sunshine-yellow T-glass blank with a slow, deep, classic medium action) minus the vintage headaches. Third generation updates: it is now a 4-piece for real-world travel, with a cork reel seat, threaded lock nut, and a traditional half-wells grip.
We stock all three models, deep.

Picking one
- Creeks and brookies: the 7' 3 weight, the purest glass experience.
- The sweet spot: the 7'6" 4 weight handles dries and small dry-dropper rigs anywhere in western Colorado.
- Glass as your everyday rod: the 8' 5 weight has enough backbone for hoppers and wind.
Why glass? A glass rod loads at ten feet, bends to the cork on a twelve-inch fish, and makes you feel every headshake. T-glass construction keeps the Butter Stick stronger and crisper than vintage fiberglass, so you get the feel without the noodle. Pair it with our Redington Zero clicker reel and the whole outfit weighs about nothing and sounds like 1965.
