At the heart of the LTX is a dramatically upgraded engineered stacked-disc drag system — delivering over four times the drag strength of its predecessor while retaining the smooth sound and feel that made the Evolution an icon. The LTX handles not just trout but serious saltwater species like Redfish, Bonefish, and Snook. This is a reel equally at home on a western river as it is on the saltwater flats.

The large arbor spool features an innovative line channel that hides arbor knots when winding on backing — a small but brilliant detail that makes rigging cleaner and faster. The bell-shaped arbor design adds structural strength while self-leveling fly line across the spool face during retrieval.
