The Sector is Scott's saltwater flagship. Fast recovery, a butt section that lifts hard, and a tip with enough finesse to lay a crab fly down softly at forty feet in wind. Built one at a time in Montrose, Colorado — about two miles from our shop.

Picking one
- One saltwater rod? The 9' 8 weight. Bonefish, reds, schoolie stripers, baby tarpon — it covers more water than anything else in the series.
- Fishing from a boat in tight quarters? The 8' 4" models load faster at short range and are less tiring over a long day on the bow.
- Tarpon? The 11 weight is the one Scott built for it — enough tip to present softly, enough butt to turn a fish.
- Freshwater crossover? The 6 and 7 weights double as serious streamer and carp rods. Do not overlook them just because this is the saltwater series.

- Blank: ReAct technology with Carbon Web — multi-directional carbon over unidirectional fibers for torsional stability
- Stripping guides: CeRecoil nickel titanium frames, Zirconia inserts, low-reflective PVD coating
- Snake guides: Recoil nickel titanium, PVD coated — they bend and spring back instead of taking a set
- Reel seat: milled aircraft-grade aluminum, self-indexing slide hoods, deep knurling, type 3 mil-spec hard coat
- Grip: Flor grade cork, modified wells
- Butt: fighting butt with thick soft rubber; gimbal extension on the 15 weight
