Which salt boot? If you are wading a flat barefoot in warm water, the Flats Sneaker or the zip-on Zipit Bootie are lighter and simpler. Choose the FreeSalt if you want ankle support on rough coral or oyster bottom, if you might wear it over waders on a cold-weather striper or redfish trip, or if you want the option of studs. It is also the widest of the three at EEE, which matters if the others pinch.
Sizing: Simms's standard guidance is to size one full size up from your street shoe to clear wader booties, with half sizes rounding up. If you plan to wear these barefoot or with a thin sock rather than over waders, that extra size may be too much — call us and we will talk it through rather than have you guess.
