Sizing — read this one. Simms is explicit about this tee: it runs large, and it will shrink with washing. Those two things partly cancel out, which is why it is hard to guess. Sizing is in men's, so women should size down. If you are between sizes or buying it as a gift, call 970-964-9991 and we will talk it through — this is not a shirt to guess on.
On the artwork. Simms names Owsley Stanley and Bob Thomas directly. Stanley was the Dead's soundman and the architect of their Wall of Sound; Thomas was the artist who put the design on paper. The Steal Your Face skull came out of that collaboration in 1969 and has been on merchandise ever since. The Fountain and Wonders prints are Simms's own colourway names — they do not credit a specific artist for those, so we are not going to invent one.
Limited edition. Dead on the Water launched in August 2025 as a limited run. When a print and size sell through, that is generally the end of it — these do not get reordered the way core Simms product does.
Warranty: Simms covers functional defects with a replacement. Within the first year, repairs are on them. Beyond a year they will repair it or make it right.
