The Pursuit is Simms's wet-wading cross trainer — a mesh-upper shoe built to get soaked, drain fast and still grip. At 24 oz per pair it is the lightest thing you can put on your feet and still walk a rocky bank in. Equally at home on a drift boat deck or a paddle board.

Sizing — read this before you order. The Pursuit runs on men's sizing and Simms sells it as unisex. For women, size two up from your normal number: a women's 6 is a men's 4, a women's 9 is a men's 7, and so on. It is also meant to be worn barefoot or over a thin liner sock, not over a wader bootie — so do not size up the way you would for a wading boot. Half sizes are available through 11.5. If you are between sizes, call 970-964-9991.
What it is for: summer wet wading on the Gunnison and the Unc, boat decks, and hiking in to water where you do not want to carry boots. Simms does not publish a stud compatibility spec for this shoe, and given the mesh upper we would not recommend studding it. If you want a studdable boot for hard wading, look at the Freestone or G3 Guide boots.
Warranty: Simms covers functional defects with a replacement. Within the first year, repairs are on them. Beyond a year they will repair it or make it right.
