On the fit — worth reading before you order. Simms describes this two different ways on their own listing: the feature list says "oversized fit with drop shoulders" while the description says "relaxed fit". Those are not the same thing. Our read from having it in the shop is that it wears generous with a dropped shoulder, so if you want it close-fitting you may want to size down. This is a good one to call about — 970-964-9991.
One pocket, no hand pockets. The kangaroo pouch is it. If you want zip hand pockets to secure a phone or keys, this is not that piece.
Where it earns its keep: October mornings on the Unc before the sun gets over the rim, layered under a wading jacket, or on its own at the takeout. High-pile fleece is warm for its weight but it is not wind resistant — plan a shell over it on a breezy day.
Warranty: Simms covers functional defects with a replacement. Within the first year, repairs are on them. Beyond a year they will repair it or make it right.
