Korkers' women's flagship, and refreshingly honest about what it is. In their own words, the Women's Darkhorse was re-engineered to actually fit a woman's foot instead of forcing it onto a smaller men's model. Their other note, which we appreciate: no pink anywhere.
This package ships with Kling-On sticky rubber and felt soles — two complete outsoles in the box.
Why that matters. Felt is the best grip available on slick, algae-covered rock. It is also the best-known carrier of whirling disease spores and didymo between drainages, because it stays wet and holds mud for days. Korkers is the only brand that lets you have both: fish felt on your home river, then clip on the Kling-On rubber before driving to the next drainage. A minute, no tools — toe clips in, heel strap secured, step down.

Also worth a look: the Women's Bantam Lite is lighter at 2 lb 4 oz and lower cut at 7 inches, with speed laces rather than a dial — a good choice if you cover a lot of ground and want less boot. The Darkhorse is the one for ankle support and heavy water. Both stocked here.
Warranty: Rock Solid Guarantee, minimum one year on defects, OmniTrax soles included. Rust and corrosion damage, particularly saltwater, is excluded. Korkers publishes no country of manufacture.
Sizing: whole sizes only, and boots go over your wader booties — plan on about a full size above your street shoe. Women's wading boots are worth trying on rather than ordering blind, since the sizing conversion trips people up. Spare soles are unisex and sized to the boot — a size 8 boot takes a size 8 sole. Bring your waders in, or call 970-964-9991 and we will have sizes pulled.
