- Rod: the Orvis Clearwater 10' 3 weight — our top-selling tight-line rod, in stock. Stepping up, the Recon 10' 3 weight is USA-made, and the Helios F 10' or 11' 3 weight is the flagship with a down-locking seat built for exactly this.
- Reel: the standard Hydros or a Mirage LT. On a euro rod, balance matters more than drag — bring the rod in and we will match a reel that makes it sit right in your hand at the grip.
- The rest: Orvis Tactical Nymph Leader and Tactical Sighter Tippet, both stocked here.
Come in and we will build the whole rig with you. Euro nymphing is a system, not a rod purchase, and getting the balance point and the leader right is most of what makes it work on the Uncompahgre and the Gunnison.
